The objective of conference was to provide a forum for the discussion of the latest research connected with the relationships of language, culture and society. The conference facilitates the studied of functional and applied problems of linguistics, translation and methods of foreign language teaching. The conference comprised keynote speeches, plenary sessions, and workshops which covered thematic sections on Innovative approaches in the linguistics of the XXI century; Discourse as the object of interdisciplinary research; Language picture of the world and interaction of cultures; Topical problems of translation, translation studies and methods of translation teaching; Theory and practice of language teaching.
