The volume contains selected, peer-reviewed papers from the International Conference on Sustainable Practices, Development and Urbanisation (IConSPADU 2021), 16 November 2021, Universiti Selangor, Bestari Jaya Campus, Selangor, Malaysia, Virtual Event.

The International Conference on Sustainable Practices, Development and Urbanisation 2021 (IConSPADU) focused on the theme of “Reimagining Resilient Sustainability: An Integrated Effort in Research, Practices and Education”. This conference is another milestone for the Centre for Foundation and General Studies (PADU) to cultivate the culture of research and innovations among the members of PADU and the academic community at large. Apart from that, this international conference is also a platform for PADU and UNISEL in promoting the importance of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

This conference encourages researchers, institutions, academics, and policymakers at all levels to exchange recent discoveries, information, problems, and challenges encountered. In addition, the objective of this conference includes identifying ideas for solutions that are fully realised in the present and compatible with the subject of sustainability and modernity in accordance with the current situation.

99 full papers were subjected to a single-blind review process and 76 full texts were accepted for publication. The conference itinerary contained a keynote speech, plenary sessions, and parallel sessions which covered a wide variety of conference sub themes such as;

  • Promoting social responsibility in achieving sustainability 
  • Realising sustainability development in technology and industries 
  • Constructing education in meeting sustainable development goals 
  • Exploring political commitment for sustainability development 
  • Reshaping economic sustainability
